chesterjester
I have been given a 12 bore, s/s shotgun, approx 40yr old? Anyone heard of the manufacturer VRBALI? Any information would be much appreciated. Thank You!

Dave66
I have heard of Jabali(Spanish made) but not Vrbali Is it clearly stamped Vrbali, or have the letters started to wear away ? Cheers
chesterjester
After cleaning the shotgun, it was indeed JABALI !! Many thanks for that. Does anyone know what sort of standard is this manufacturer? Is it any good? Any information would be appreciated.
seeker
There may be a proof date code letter - number ...probably between A1 (1955) and Z1 (1980). Though its also possibly part of the serial number if it is broken into several sub groups with spaces (xx.xx.xxx.xx) then last 2 are the year. Get a gunsmith to check it for proof and safety ... and peace of mind.
