dazza
I noticed last night when the light hits my dogs eyes there is a green shine off them. Is this normal? A girl in work says its catarcts which has me worried as he's only five. Tried for an answer on google but can't find anything. Could anybody put my mind at ease? Could anybody put my mind at ease? all the dogs we have ever had since i was young (4springers, 2 cockers, 1 Jackrussel and 4 labs) they have all had coloured eyes, shine a light at any of them when walking them on a night and you see the colour of the eyes all these dogs were never blind in their lives!? i have never heard of it being a problem

apache
It's normal tapetal reflex [light bouncing back off the retina]. A cataract is a clouding and increasing opacity of the pupil, nothing to do with colour of the reflection.
