davobob
Has anyone got an old style pigeon flapper with string that they could post a few picture of so that I can make one or one that they dont use that they would like to sell. Really want an old one and not an battery operated one as dont want to be carrying extra stuff and batteries and dont know other peoples thoughts but Ive found that the manual ones work better as you can flap when you want and not over do it like the battery ones. Thanks David

Thanks David You haven't put your location in your profile so I nearly didn't bother to reply.. I have one made by Seemark but you are probably too far away for me to get in touch. If you were local to me we could arrange something.

steve_b_wales
I use a flapper with intermittent timer, which makes it 'flap' for about 20 seconds, then off for about 5 seconds. I have found this to be excellent, especially for crows/jackdaws. The battery I use is only a 2amp, and is very small and light.
