stuart21
This maybe a bit of a daft question, but I’m considering joining a pigeon shooting syndicate. The syndicate offers 3,000 acres over 10 farms. Apart from the usual reconnaissance work, how will I know the best places to shoot as I will need to book prior to shooting? Does anyone else belong to a similar syndicate, if so how do you find it? Thanks in advance! Stuart
Mightymariner
It's all down to reconnaissance and intelligence on the ground via farmers/keepers etc. Where I shoot, it is a similar situation. I have to call when I want to go shooting but do reconnaissance beforehand to find out where birds are feeding. I usually speak to the keeper or ocassionally I will bump into one of the farmers when I am out and ask them. I like to trust my own judgement though when deciding where to go. As you start to find your way around the farms you will discover the flightlines and favoured places. I guess you may share info with other members of the syndicate? Like the Warwickshire one on this forum. Presumably the numbers are regulated? Good luck.
