davidTOZ
Hello, shot a rabbit tonight. Skinned it, gutted it and the liver looked strange. There were withe spots on it. What does this mean? I dumped it! Regards David
kevinbird
Just had a quick look in my rabbit book and it looks like COCCIDIOSIS its a parasitcal illness normally found in rabbits that live where there are sheep or a high number of deer. could be wrong but worth looking up

apache
Either fluke, cocci or myxi can cause it. You did right by throwing the bunny away. Not a good idea eating diseased meat. Cooci most likely, but your pic not that clear.

kent
liver Fluke, the rest of the meat will be fine but its better not to use the liver.Other things will generally show elsewere being spread through the lymphatic system. Generally though if you saw it and were worried by it and don't know what it is you won't enjoy eating it and will feel guilty selling it or giving it away, expect to see more cases on this ground as it is a parasite that is in the grass the rabbit eats
