Nice, are you going to play with the HD Video side of things?

Have only just set it up for my style of photography.

Must be honest the will most likely never be used.

Waiting on faster , larger memory card Transend 400 x 32 GB CF Card.

2 x batteries and grip.

Over time begins in the morning  That's for the new lens in the pipe line next Christmas.

I did want the 1D Mark3 but that would have resulted in a divorce.

Are you into photography????

Nice shots as always buddy. The 7d was a sound move, more so than the 1d3 imho.

The resolution of the 1d images are noticeably down on the modern sensors. I even notice it between the 1d and 50d. This added to the crop factor difference, you would loose some focal length (larger sensor) and some resolution (on the 7d, same as 40d i think). So you wouldn't be able to crop anymore but would loose some focal length. For bird photography i doubt that would help.

Next on the list must be a fast prime tele lens?

Hi Nick yes the prime is on the hit list next all being well.

Taking some learning this new 7D.

One of my mates has invested in a Sigma 300 x 800 tack sharp on a 1D Mark3. Like a machine gun when you hit the button

What set up you got going at the mo. I have viewed you web site looks to me you could be making some money on those shots. I will have to call and have a few lessons from you Nick ;)

The prime I have my heart set on is this bad boy.

This will have to be delivered to my brothers house as the wife would kill me. In fact the majority of my camera stuff comes via my brother   .

Is that a 500 or 400? 400 2.8 IS is on the dream list, along with a 1d4....

Currently i am selling some gear while i have no work. So down to just the 1d3, 70-200 2.8, 1.4tc and 50d. More bodies than lenses!

However there will be a Sigma 300 2.8 and 17-40 L added before the motorsports start again in march/april. And that Sigma should get upgraded to a Canon by about june july.

Certainly up for a meet up at some point, you could teach me alot about birding and i would be more than happy to try and impart some tips for shooting more mechanical beasts.

This is what I am waiting for Canon EF 500 F4. Hopefully when the new lens get released in March I may get one at the right price. I think I could find room for the Sigma 300 2.8 ;) .

Good lad as long as you enjoy and don't take the game to serious.

So batter or bowler.

I retired in 2000 after winning the Birmingham Premier league.

GG :good:

I'm a wicket Keeper / Batter, so playing B'Ham league you would know of Keith Piper?

i know a few Ex Mosely players as well!
