bk
Ive been told that the match target and varmint bullets are the same just labelled differently in the UK. Im sure I read the same somewhere but has anyone else come across this? Dan
Alycidon
There was a time when Berger did this with their 50gr 20 cal bullet but generally it does not happen. None the less match bullets make good vermin terminators. A

bk
Hi Dan, The match target bullets have a thicker jacket than the match varmint bullets and some match varmint bullets have a larger meplat opening for rapid expansion on small varmints. If you use a match target bullet as a varmint bullet expansion will not be as good as the varmint bullets If we can be of any additional help feel free to contact us. Walt Berger Berger Bullets Technical Advisor So I guess that's a no to using target bullets.

bk
Maybe it was old stock some before they put varmint on the box

bk
Hmmmm. That's interesting. I know it is very contensious but due to my locality it's a pain in the Yaris.to get decent hunting bullets so it would be ideal if there was a mailable bullet I could use. Don't hate me lol
Vince Green
Batch numbers are not a clear indication, often only a coded date.
