HoTsHoT-10
if you can group with the rifle as in 1-2 inch groups yes then it would be effective on rabbits at that range
Alanl
I very much doubt that a Supersport would be any good for anything but targets at 50 yards. They are generally around 10 ft/lbs or less (which isnt a problem really), and give a bit of recoil. You'll need a lot of practice with it to hit a one inch ring at anything over 30 yards. When you can get 9 out of 10 shots (or preferably all 10) in a one inch ring at 30 yards, then try it again at 40 yards. When you can do that, it will be alright for rabbits at that distance. I think 50 yards will be too far. Alan.
hoTshoT-16
i had a supersport mkII for years and served me well, accounting for many deaths to all vermin, and i have dropped grain stealing feral pigeons at 45 yds off the barn roofs at the farm . so therefore i expect that the BSA would bre effective against rabbits at 50 yds if zeroed well. i have now sold my supersport and aquired a BSA lightning and mod to replace and its works awesome in the field, as a farm pest control gun. The Duncan
IF you can reliably get 1" groups at that range with a break barrel springer than by all means the power is there at that range for an accurate cranium shot. Have you thought of competeing in FT ? I'd say I was a better than average shot (hell of a lot of practise and FT comps) but I don't think I'd risk it at that range with a springer on live quarry. Even in perfect conditions. Good if you can do it though, grouping I mean ATB Duncan

hoTshoT-16
Have you thought of competeing in FT ? no, but i have been prctising in the fields and now can hit a 15mm target at 50 yds with the BSA r-10 pellet on pellet and the lightning at 40yds using HFT rabbit and pigeon targets with 15mm kill zones
