Cosd
Anyone have any experience with these? Insurance is reasonable, economy is very good and reasonably priced for say an 04 plate I mainly motorway drive (40 mile return journey to work) but want some off capability for getting to a hide spot, so nothing serious off road. Been looking at a short wheel base Shogun but saw one of these in a forecourt which looked quite nice. My budget is between £6k and £7k Or would you choose something else? Barn_Owl
The main problem with the Outlander is fuel consumption, approx 26 mpg. No manual box in the Mk1 and no diesel option so it's a 2.4L auto. and not a great auto box. Far better on road than off but price wise for an 04 plate expect £3-4k only. If it's main requirement is on road and family, then a Nissan Ex-Trail will seve you well.
snarepeg
Have got the o4 outlander, bought it new with the gas conversion. 45 Litre tank in wheel well, motor way cruising about 23 to the gallon so about 46 to 50 on fuel price. Gone everywhere this winter with no problem, the permanent 4 wheel drive is good, Anywhere round the 5k for a gas converted one 4 without, john
