hogey
Before I came away to work last week I put a deposit down on a .243 as my variation not valid until the 12th. It has fitted a T4 sound mod. Will this be suitable for heavy .243 loads as I have a feeling that only suitable for 50 60 gr loads. Opinions please ATB
scotland rifles
if the T$ is proofed for .25 calibre rifles it will be OK with the lightest bullet as well as the heavier ones, remembering that lighter bullets need more powder than the heavier ones do. bob. proof mark is what you go on, nothing more nothing less. Mr_Logic
except of course that a moderator doesn't NEED proof, so in that case go to Jackson Rifles, but I think they're OK.
Redgum
T4 is fine for 243 obviously as long as its the right dia for that calibre, same as the wildcat compact. According to those in the know you only really need T8's and the Pred 8's when you get into 308 and above, lighter bullets have more powder and travel faster than heavier bullets so in theory they make the louder bang.
