Disposing of unwanted carcases

Recommended Posts

THe reason I've now gone the shottie route is to add to the rabbits and grey squirrels for the pot I've been getting so far.

I know pro pest controllers will cull more than I these days, but I get a knee jerk reaction to wasting meat and leavind bodies littering the fields.

I know nature will take its course, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

My landowners don't want corpses in their paddocks or fields or spinneys.

Couldn't agree more! I shoot to control and protect my mrs family farm crops etc...I cook most of what I shoot, anything I don't keep for the pot I still use for crow decoying..

I think it's because I'm a Yorkshire lad I can't abide wasting good meat! I'm all for controlling pests but seems much more fitting to eat them too (rats excluded of course lol....Ooooooffffff I hate rats)

Up with us there are up to 8 buzzards sitting in one field! If you leave rabbits where they lay there will Be no sign of them after 12 hours.... By all means use what you can but don't tear the guy a new hole because he leaves them where they lay, as Alex said this is quite commonly the case...

Nature will happily get rid of!

Bet there's very few who'd eat crows! Even though they are apparently very edible!

Regards,

Gixer
