lazarusthealmighty
Then you should bag up, as long as you can shoot straight. But what time of year is it best to hunt rabbits? Winter, Spring, Summer...
FalconFN
Best time is probably late summer/early autumn, as there are plenty of younger rabbits around that haven't learned to scarper as soon as they see you and the evenings are warm which gets them out. You'll see rabbits any time of year but warm sunny evenings/Mornings or after very bad weather will be the best times. I don't shoot them in from early spring to early summer as I don't like shooting pregnant/suckling does, but the farmers may disagree with that policy. Have you got a permission? That's the hardest part of hunting.

As said above, you'll catch bunnies all year, they have to feed sometime.

stubby
kk thanks and yes at at two golf courses Im sure the golf courses will want you out all year round, not just certain months of the year, as a pest they need controlling 364 days picking the best months, is a sure way of loosing permission to others... FalconFN
You might not see many around in cold weather as they stay underground more and when they come out they tend not to go too far out in the open. Wait for a warmer, drier evening with a light breeze in your face and you'll probably see more.
