Redgum
My wife bought me one for Christmas and for the money I think its great. I have a couple of wooden one up that I made and I would rather be sat in the summit. Its not as high as some but you really don't need to be 5 or 6 metres up a tree unless your looking over a young plantation, and sometimes hieght can be a disadvantage as your in the tree canopy. Safety is the main issue and the deer will see you if your 3.5 mts up or 5 if your moving around. Its great value for money and very rigid but make sure you get the support bracket in the right place against the tree. Remember to stick a chain around it as they are easily pinched. WGD
but make sure you get the support bracket in the right place against the tree or they buckle and fall when you're half way up them, trust me they are what they are, a cheap high seat that will do the job but don't expect years out of it. Now we know who ate all the pies you fat bxxxxxxd. It is a cheap highseat but with the support in place its solid. I tied my support up with a bit of wire around the tree to keep it in place ( will all make sense when you get yours ) I'm 13 and a half stone,my rifle with the P8 and hogue alley bedded stock weighs about the same and no prob, doesnt flex at all, I nailed one of those green square spongy things you kneel on for doing the gardening to the seat, luxury when you bin there a few hours. Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, the support the one my mate told me about when I landed on my backside at the bottom of the tree, rifle over one shoulder, lamp in the other hand and backpack with battery in on my back Ok so he's built like a racing snake and I'm a little more comfortable (14st) but Christ, he might have told me he missed a bit out before I condemned the kit Still, it was his money that bought it and it was well stuffed when I was finished with it
steve_b_wales
I have just taken delivery of said mentioned high seat, and, for the money, I'm pleased with it. I intend using mine as a portable one,and not leaving it on my permissions (it would'nt be there for long unfortunately)not even with a chain around it! It has a few rough edges on it, and there are a few sharp bits on the treads, but nothing that can't be smoothed out. I'm going to use a ratchet/strap to secure it to the tree, when in use. Steve.
