Fisherman Mike
Anyone done any flounder fishing (from the shore) in the Severn Estuary. If so how did you get on and where are the best (and safest) marks to fish. The Severn is a stones throw from me and I always fancied giving it another go. Havent fished it since I was a lad. Cheers. majordisorder
Used to when I was a kid, fished from several marks, under the old severn bridge on the Beachley side where we used to catch bass, eels and flatties. Further down the Welsh side used to fish off here very large mud flats as I remember where the tide comes in very quickly but always did well
Spaniel
Never caught a flounder, but have been to Redwick and caught my first and only dover sole, and as a kid use to catch flatties at berrow beach. Fished under the bridges well next to the new one and only caught eel and whiting so far
