bongo321
Hi ive just got a Bisley bore gauge 12g , checked the beretta all as should be then i checked the winchester inv+, full choke measures as half - 3/4 choke = measures 1/4 and so on Edited January 27, 2011 by bongo321
welshwarrior
The choke is the constriction form the barrel diameter so a choke gauge is not overly accurate the Winny may have a larger bore than the Beretta or vicky versa. GBS
as previously stated, you need to compare the constriction against the bore to determine choke. You need a proper bore gauge for this not a choke gauge. G
bongo321
so nothing to unusual then , bit silly having a brass gauge if they are no use , i did not meen deadly accurate but if i can't tell if ive got a full or half choke in its a bit pointless even as a rough guide . thanks for replies atb gerry
