For Sale Mannlicher 308 Stutzen -Full stock

I've finally decided it's time to part with my trusty much loved 308 Mannlicher Stutzen - Model L, right handed. The only reason for is to make space for a new synthetic Sauer 202 308 to use with a moderator.

I bought the Stutzen when it had only fired six rounds. Since then I think it's only had about 250 through it as I've always had other toys to play with.

As far as condition goes it is mechanically perfect - just run in and in will shoot 1" groups at 100 yards with 150 grain bullets which it has always done when I've done my bit!

I'll include the original user instruction brochure with it and if I can find it the original Mannlicher zero target that it was supplied with when new.

The stock has been oiled regularly so it's surprisingly waterproof! There are a couple of scratch marks on the wood where I caught it on fences etc, but nothing too untoward. There are no splits or chips.

The metalwork / blueing is unmarked apart from the end of the bolt handle which is burnished from the rifle being carried.

The bore is fine and rifling sharp - been wiped out after each outing whether shot or not.

I will be removing the scope from the rifle to put on my new rifle.

The rings are original super quality Mannlicher swing off 1" / 26mm ones, ideal for the 52mm scope I use & should also be fine for a 56mm scope.

Price for the rifle £650. Scope rings £50. Face to face prefered or RFD-RFD at cost.

I'm located on the Devon / Dorset border. PM me for more details.

i no this is going to be a thick question but why has it got 2x triggers or are my eyes playing tricks

NICE gun wish they wood let me have that cal

ps if i dont ask ill never no and it will bug me all day please dont shout at me

No your eyes aren't playing tricks, and no I certainly won't bite your head off. Don't ever be afraid to ask so you can learn!

The rifle has a "double set trigger" that can be used as a normal weight one by simply pulling the front trigger blade, or as a "hair" trigger by first pulling the rear blade to set the front one which releases at a much lighter weight. If you don't want to take the shot, the trigger is unset by lifting the bolt.

For a quick shot the "normal" unset trigger is fine and for those longer well rested shots the "set" option is great.

The system was very popular on European rifles in the past and Mannlicher have got it about perfect on this rifle.
