Frenchieboy
I'm not in Cheshire but I might be able to help out with advice. Is it just rabbit or are you interested in shooting anything else. What type of land do you have permission on, etc? Do you have any experience with shotguns or firearms? There's loads of other questions that could influence what answers or advice you might be given!

kent
Forget the HMR if its up to 60 yds you would be better off with .22 lr and subsonic ammo and a sound moderator, other than that an FAC precharge air putting out about 30ftlb in .22 gives advantages due to less than half the energy and still up to the task on bunnies. Neither is a foxing tool though but you might consider the 12 gauge with BB for shorter ranges, seriously Foxing rifles are centrefire .22 Hornet upwards though many get shot with rimfire few would choose to do it that way and in many areas you won't be allowed to (not sure on Cheshires take on it)
