shotgun certificate

im 15 on friday i have my own shotgun and shotgun certificate but my guns on my dads shotgun certificate so when i get my gun on my certificate dose this mean i can go out on my own ???

 

From the age of 15 you can use yours or anyone elses shotgun who borrows you it unsupervised but be carefull. :good:

15 TO 17 YEARS OF AGE

A person between 15 and 17 years of age may be given or lent a shotgun and cartridges but

may not buy or hire them.

After reaching the age of 15 a person may use a shotgun without supervision, providing they

hold a valid shotgun certificate.

 

If your gun is in dads cabinet with his guns it gets more complex, especially if you have access to the keys. It is possible for a gun to be on multiple certs get him to Ring FEO and get full details.
