yankeedoodlepigeon
Hi. Been out with the dog today shooting. When i got back home the dog seemed to have a problem with her feet. Everytime we get back in she is scraping her feet on the carpet (like after doing a poo and kicking grass on top of it) normally I would have thought this was nettles irritating her paws but at this time of year? I did see her stand on a bramble and thoroughly checked all paws and inbetween pads, I got one in my leg and i can't feel it now so what could be the matter? Some boots? yankeedoodlepigeon
I don't think so. Seems she is like this everytime we come back from shooting where ever we go. like nettle stings on her feet but its winter? She gets out a lot but she only does it when out hunting. She is lay at the side of me now kicking her feet into to me as if to scatch them.

yankeedoodlepigeon
Hi Thanks for the replys all. I gave her 1/4 tablet of piriton and it worked a treat so seems like nettles or allergy that is causing the problem. Maybe a piriton before she goes out next time. Thanks again Lea. activeviii
stinging nettles matey. both my cockers did this, the pup still does it. even after an hour, if i take her out in the garden and its wet, she will do it all over again. I was worried the first time i saw it happen but it soon settled down so i just put then in their crates now for 1/2hour after a walk and then their fine.
