You can BUT the biggest problem with that is the largest and cheapest suplier (USA) have become anal about exporting firearms and firearm parts after 911.

You need an export license for almost any component part or a full firearm. This can take months to come through and almost every dealer in the USA that used to send stuff over here is too frightened of getting slapped for illegal arms sales and have stopped exporting, as it's a small perecentage of their overall business it's easier to do that than go through all the requirements of the export license.

Buying in Europe can be cheaper but I know one person who bought a CZ directly from their shop in Prague and by the time he paid import duty/VAT and airfare etc. it only worked out about £20 cheaper :(

Yeah, then when you consider the problems you could have with warranties and returns it's not really worth it. It sucks really that it's all so expensive.

Indeed :(

Still doesn't stop me spending too much though :D Just put my last 2 orders in for when we go over, $158 at Cabelas for Hornady A-Max Moly coated .308 and Berrys plated .44 bullets (so much cheaper it would be just wrong not to buy them!) and another $225 at Titan Reloading for 2 press kits and some extra Lee bits. I really must learn to resist the temptation when I look at prices and think I'm saving myself a small fortune :D

That's what I meant :) when you look at the prices you think how much you are saving but then you find out how much you have spent while "saving money" :D

Luckily I'm taking my son with me so we have his customs allowance to use as well, just not sure if we will have room for any shopping in the suitcases this time, I made a list of stuff I have to collect on an A4 pad, took 1 1/2 sheets :D Would be cheaper if I could move there but at 54 and in bad health there's not much chance of that, I had thought of marrying off my youngest son to my friends daughter and going over as family but she went and married someone else first :D
