Mick Shaw
How does one go about selling or buying a gun via a R.F.D.transfer ? Do you take it to a dealer to send to another, or do you package it up your self and send it to a R.F.D. and do you need a special courier ? and how much does it cost ? TJ91
go to you rlocal RFD and give it to them, they will send it to another RFD and the buyer will collect from there dont try posting it yourself, you will land yourself in some serious trouble so much easier to buy F2F costs vary..usually around £20 buyer usually pays their RFD and seller pays theirs Edited February 23, 2011 by TJ91
steve_b_wales
Hi Mick. Just take your firearm to an RFD, and provide them with the details of the RFD where it's to be sent. Normally, they will contact the RFD for a FAX copy of his licence, and then they will send the firearm via a courier of their choice. The normal fee for this is £25 for them to send it (inc courier fee) The RFD at the other end, usually charges the same to enter the details onto the certificate of the person who is buying the firearm.
