Most suppliers will recommend local tradesman who buy from them and are reasonably priced. They won't recommend someone they know to be a cowboy as it reflects badly on them. I'd leave well alone, once you've recieved a quote I would say 1 follow up call 3days to a week later is enough unless you agree for him to phone you in a fortnight type thing. 8 missed calls a polite voicemail ensuring you have recieved the quote would be more appropriate. V8landy Posted February 24, 2011 Report Share Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) We have just has some work done by Eliments just south of York. First class work. and 10 year gauranty. Run by 2 guys, with their own team of fitters. They also have workshop and showroom on site. No phone calls back, none of this "I will just phone my boss for a special" just quote left, and then it up to you. They do a propper job, not just clad over. We had 37m done, which includes 6 external 90 box junctions. They remove the first 3 rows of tiles, and cut back felt and replace with a plastic eves protector strip, they then fit a bird comb and eves vent strip. 18mm facia board and OG style guttering with hidden brackets. Replace / fix any rotten end trusses etc etc etc, all for £2600 Any monek can cover over with 9mm cladding, but it is the extras listed above that set it appart.
