Mooch
Shop advised to charge the rifle to 230bar, I think BSA recommended 235? but I found others (in old threads on these forums) mentioning that 180bar is what the rifle works best on. Any one clear this up for me or is something based on individual rifles?
bruno22rf
I,m guessing its .177 then-fill pressure is 232bar for .177 and 200bar for a .22.If you can see the difference between 230 and 235 on your gauge then you,ve got the best one i,ve ever heard of!If people are recommending lower pressures then thats most likely the "sweet spot" where you get the most shots at the most consistent velocity and thus the most accurate. rabbit.slayer.no.1
i always charge mine to 180/190. its a .22 i use a pump for my charging ive not had a problem with that and i still get a good 35/40 shots before needing to refill. just because you gauge go's to 250 dont mean you have to fill it to that . its like your car it may say 150mph on the clock dont mean ur car will get there lol. also i cant get my pump to fill any higher as im only 10st wet and havent got the power to push anymore

bigchap
.177 fill pressure is 235 and .22 is 200,the best pressure for the .177 is 210 and the .22 is 180.these pressures are at the start of the sweet spot.

Will give it a go next time. I was also told to keep it fully charged when not in use. If I have shot a few from a full charge would you bother topping it up just to keep it full ? bigchap
i wouldn't bother but there's no reason why you shouldn't given the low shot count on the ultra
