smiiithy
I understand that it is illegal to call birds with an electronic caller. Can anybody advise me where this is stated as I can't see it in the general license? I'm just wanting to know out of interest more than anything, as I am planning to buy a Primos Power Crow Call. smiiithy
Thanks. I would have read that to mean you can't use a device to actually kill a bird, but it seems it's widely accepted that calling a bird is also a no no.
kdubya
Thanks. I would have read that to mean you can't use a device to actually kill a bird, but it seems it's widely accepted that calling a bird is also a no no. not sure how you get "actually kill a bird" as opposed to for the PURPOSE of killing so if your using one to get them in close for you to dispatch then thats the PURPOSE bit and not legal, however you could always take a photo first then blag it. KW (d)uses as a decoy, for the purpose of killing or taking any wild bird, any sound recording or any live bird or other animal whatever which is tethered, or which is secured by means of braces or other similar appliances, or which is blind, maimed or injured; F1 . . . HW682
From the link posted by KW.. Cheers, Mike The General License is a list of exemptions to the law, not a law in itself.
