Foxer
hi i have a gas ram in my BSA lightning and i keep mine loaded when waiting for rabbits ect for maybe 3 hours at the most . but how long are you talking about keeping one loaded? because i would seriously not keep one loaded for very long periods of time as you dont know whats going to happen eg saftey catch failure, or trigger gets caught on something but thats just my view others may have diiferent views foxer

ROB Upto a point you are right, but what about when stalking a rabbit? You get to within 30 yds and then have to cock it whilst you watch the rabbit scurry away! SNAKEBITE
You'll be fine doing that. However, and I'm sure you do not need to be told this, if it is loaded just be extra careful when there are other people around. The reason I say this is because when out hunting alone I sometimes leave the rifle cocked if the shot is no longer on. If there are other people around I usually shoot the pellet safely away.
