Sargeant Bang
Don't know jack about air rifles. Anyone know how many decent shots one could expect out of a fully charged 12ft/lb Falcon 19n in .22?
Lord Geordie
I would hazard a guess at between 45 to 65 shots perhaps more? I have the .177 version and spend a few hours at the range before i ran out of air LG
Sargeant Bang
Cheers LG Can you get 'em re-charged at your local gun shop? I have no recharging equipment myself as I've never had an air rifle. What do they charge for the service?
Lord Geordie
A lot of shops charge about £1.50ish but an air refil at a dive shop is only £3.00 so best save a few pennies and buy a bottle. An older 232bar will suffice as the air chamber is small and only 190 to 200bar so you will get a shed load of fills from a 12L to 15L 232 stumpy. Or a Pump will cost as much as a bottle but keeps you fit LG
Wookie
The FN12 does about 44 or so before you start to see the drop off, but the FN12 that my mate owns seemed to do over 100 before he needed to charge it again. The extra 7" of air cylinder seems to make a hell of a difference, possibly coupled with the extra efficiency of the longer barrel, but that's just me guessing. There's a company in Hemel that can add a regulator to Falcons giving about 10% extra shots per fill and about half the shot-to-shot varience in muzzle velocity, but it costs about 100 notes and it wasn't really worth it for my FN12 Wookie
