Budice
A friend of mine is sending her daughter away on an activity break for 3 days next week at Culmington Manor and one of the activities is rifle shooting. She has looked at their website but it doesnt say if they are live firing rifles or air rifles, only that they are .177 small bore rifles. At 8 years old would he daughter be too young for live firing rifles? Thanks in advance

Frenchieboy
If it says .177 small bore then I would be fairly sure that it is only an air rifle. To be a centre fire it would say .17 small bore and not .177 - The .17 being the HMR whereas the "usual" calibres for air rifles are .177, .20, .22 and .25! goldypurple
and i think you find by law, that no one under the age of 14 can use a fullbore rifle. i seem to remember, when teaching children through the army cadet force that to use the fullbore rifle they had to be 14, and supervised by some over the age of 21. but it could just mean that for there insurance policy
