I use an old 12mtr roach pole,use sportplast coys,they have a mould hole in the backside area,pole fits in there and up they go,i made counter weights from twisted coat hangers with strip lead wrapped round, covered in camo tape,somebody has posted some on here somewhere,make a big difference to my success rate as most people cant be bothered. :good:

Think that might have been me :yes:

With metal wire bucket handles,heres what to do;

1,bend one straight and cut the hook bits off

2,cut another in half and create a bend

3,now fix the bent one to the straight one,leaving enough above the hook to go through a solid decoy

4,wrap lead 4" up from the bottom of the straight one,so that it can fit into tent pole

5,on one section of tent pole,cut top off 2ltr coke bottle to form funnel and tape to pole

I have made several like this and they do balance and the sectional tent poles will go to about 4 metres,which is why the funnel/coke bottle is needed to retreive the decoy :yes:

I must confess to not using mine much as its more kit to carry around and you need to have a tree on a flight line etc etc,so not always practical :no:
