RIGHT OR WRONG ???

Being new to the forum myself and just browsing one afternoon I came across a post in shooting wanted. This post seamed to come from a young shooter just starting out,so I sat down and replied giving him what I thought would help even down to places to knock in what villages to go to and even the name of the local gamekeeper{prickly old sod but fair}. I then spent most of that night looking through old address books for numbers of contacts I made.Having moved south several years ago and all this shooting was in lancashire I thought it wouldnt hurt to pass on this info to some one starting out,I have over 30 years worth of knowledge, having had all kinds of shoots, even down to inland goose decoying not 10 miles from his location,as much pigeon shooting as I wanted and two syndicates,

NOW MY QUESTION IS AFTER 15 DAYS , NOT A SINGLE REPLY, IS THIS THE DONE THING TODAY OR SHOULD I JUST KEEP IT ALL UNDER MY HAT,

Hi

Sad to say but it does happen I have done a similar thing on other forums spent a bit of time finding details , contacts and putting up photos of rifles to illustrate the topic . Its like everything in life there are takers and there are givers , you did the good thing . Its sometimes best just to offer and add the detail later if they respond . I think it can be easier for people to be rude on forums because its a bit more anonymous , if you feel agrieved enough send him a cheeky polite pm asking was the info of any use to him ? Might jog his memory .

Have you checked if they've been online in that time? It's surprising how many messages we get about people ignoring pms, then we look at their profile and they've not be online in that time.

If on the other hand they've been active then it is indeed very rude.

I agree with the point they may not have been online [ barring a problem with their pc ] but that is rudeness itself to ask a question or get info and not bothering to check and see if someone has replied .
