Dave-G
I went over to kibworth shooting club to get 1000 pellets today - also had a rummage in a "car boot box" for a pair of high mount base's to fit on the top rail of my stealth to locate the switch for my tracer lamp. (if your unfamiliar with the stealth, there's no flat area put the velcro) On the way to one of my permissions I spotted a landy coming out of a field and thought it might be worth a try. I followed it for a half mile along the road and into another field. Upshot is that he has 300 acres of currently unused land elsewhere which has a dissused railway embankment on it - sorting the fine print out next sunday as he's busy lambing. Showed him my current permission sheets, and figure he'll contact a couple of them for a reference - who knows maybe I'll eventually get offerred permission on his main fields too I went to have a looksee at that area and asked another farmer where Mr X's fields are.. and got another 70 acres of arable land signed on the spot His rape has been ravaged - but a stroll around the perimmiter shows very little rabbit sign...but some very interesting pad and footprints - but too big for my rimmie Edited March 20, 2006 by Dave-G
