an old friend asked me today to take his new air rifle home and set up the sights..."i think its a webley" he said,

out he comes with the smk 12

i takes it with me to set the sights the best i could and "ohh what a pile of rubbish"!

i thought this might be a good little cheap gun but after 10 shots it was put back in its "box" and returned to the proud owner .

pizza's come in boxes....not guns!

Hi Mate, my very first springer was an SMK 19, it nearly made me give up shooting all togeather. The scope rail was so out of line with the barrel I had to aim 3" to the left @ 20 yards just to get the pellet on target. having said that the dealer I brought it from was excellent and gave me a free upgrade to a cometa 300. The only plus side to buying the SMK was that it made me really study zeroing as I thought the error must have been my fault. It also made me understand hold over / under better. it was so frustrating though that I nearly gave up the sport. The best advice I would probably give a new shooter would be to try other peoples rifles prior to buying and listen to advice. If its that cheap there is a reason for it.
