Thunderbird
Just wondered what the standard of difficulty is like. There is one this Saturday and a couple of mates were asking me.
PhilR
He's got Graham Lapthorne working for him now, who used to be the ground manager at Newnham Park, and if he's setting the targets I think they'll be pretty good.

silver pigeon 3
Don't know about the comp, but was up there on Wednesday and the ESP targets/layout was superb, stand 5/6 are very tricky with the clays presented well below you and travelling very fast. The last stand was the best of the day with a quick L-R quartering away target and a very tall clay dropping in from behind. Then there is the high tower, it took me a couple of shots to get to grips with it but found that leaving them until they were directly above worked and i managed to break 10 in a row. Hope the comp goes well might see you Sunday at Bristol.
Thunderbird
might see you Sunday at Bristol. Did you hit the rabbit?
silver pigeon 3
no missed them all, same as most people i think. Went round for 40 but dropped some silly clays on stand 2&5. carded 9,9,10,4,8 so apart from the rabbit not to bad. How did you get on? did you smash a bunny? Thunderbird
You beat me by 1 then! I did 39. No I didn't hit the bunny at all, between three of us we scored one hit on it. Quite pleased with the other stands though. My best there is 44. Now that was a good day!
psych4shooting
Jim French is the main man there, putting on testing targets as ever. The one`s down the valley are great fun(well depends if you hit them or not!!).
Thunderbird
I know Jim, had a lesson with him a while back. The ones in the valley are very testing aren't they? Just feels like there is such a different dynamic to hitting clays that far underneath you. Did you spot the going away 'cheese roll' and the incoming driven 'egg'? He used to put on cracking sporting layouts at Newnham. Phil
