  1. www.myclayshootingrecord.com very comprehensive indeed.
  2. As Salopian says, plus recommendations too.
  3. For me it is not the price it is the quality - there is no standard in shooting, it is a service not a product. If you think it is worth it then you will continue to pay, if it is not worth it and you are not learning then you will not continue with the coaching. The coaching question always rumbles on, but in my eyes it is all down to the value it adds to your shooting, not the cost - if you can find a low cost coast that works for you then that is great, if they are higher priced and it works for you then that is the cost.
  4. Here is the link for the eBook - http://clayshootingsuccess.co.uk/clayshootingshop/prod_1485796-Mental-Training-for-Sporting-Part-1-by-Phil-Coley.html great value at £19.99
  5. Hats off to the CPSA for putting on the first Coaching Conference. Those who attended, in the region of 70+ people, and an array of coaches not just CPSA coaches attended taling part in workshops and over the two days had the opportunity to share ideas and network with other coaches. I for one would recommend it, it was certainly an eye opener for many and the topics were very relevant. The CPSA may get a kick or tow from time to time, but hats off to them for this and it is something that can be built on in the future for all coaches.
  6. If you are at the show please come and say hello on the Clay Shooting stand we are opposite Browning.

  12. Take a look at Natasha Lovell`s new website. Natasha is one of the Elite Shooting Academy Scholars. Natasha from Devon receives ongoing mental training from Sports Psychologist Phil Coley, Technical Sporting Training from Ben Husthwaite, Technical Olympic Skeet Training from David Dale all covered through the Elite Clay Shooting Academy set up by Phil Coley & Ben Husthwaite in 2012. The Elite Shooting Academy is proud to sponsor Natasha. A select number of juniors will be selected in 2013 with a selection day planned for May, where those who have already applied will be invited to attend the day. There is no other set up in the UK that offers this level of support or sponsorship. See Natasha`s website click here See the Elite Clay Shooting Academy click here

  15. After a positive start a few interesting comments. I have PM`ed those who potentially have had a less than positive experience of Ian Coley`s. As any business would like to understand both positive and negative customer feedback, always willing to right a wrong if there has been one. In reference to Ian dropping Pete, I would like to make comment for the record. Ian has never dropped Pete. Pete was originally spotted by Ian some 6 years ago, by chance and from that point, very similar to Richard Faulds, he mentored and coached Pete. Pete had the opportunity to work with another coach and this relationship formed where Pete had two coaches working with him, his one coach being the current Gold Medal winner and offering coaching and warm weather training - so Pete trained abraod and in the UK at Ian Coley`s plus Southern Counties and Bisley - if you were to see comments from Pete you will see how the relationship has worked and actually the results speak for themselves. I might be biased, but shooting owes a debt of gratitude to get the positive spotlight for both the gold that Pete won and the gold that Richard one - none of the positive press received since August 2nd would have happened without it - to see a clay shooter on the TV, watched by over 5m people on Superstars and the endless promotion.

  22. This all further supports the need for people to assist with the upcoming Trigger Freeze research I am conducting. I have over 100 people taking part in it all with varying forms of flinch/freeze, plus a subject group of those without - one of the benefits for those suffering is release triggers. I have been speaking with Alan Rhone on this and he is assisting with subjects for the research. But I do need more subjects. I am self funding this study and in turn it will give facts, not conjecture on the subject, plus look at potential solutions and cures - at the moment release triggers are a solution. If you are really interested in this more I have recently written a piece in Shooting Times on the whole subject and why it happens - the technical wording is focal dystonia of the hand. Please help and get in touch. All those taking part are receiving packs on Monday this week for an 12 month study, maybe the CPSA should look at these findings when the research is completed and hold on the decision - this research being self funded, is equally unbiased and fact based scientific study. I have added the article below for people to read - hopefully it worked. [click here to read the article]
  23. Certainly a break in your mental routine, as many others have commented on this, you tried to hit them rather than let your subconscious take over and shoot them. You can never not benefit from a lesson with a good coach, making sure your technical approach is well drilled and also focusing on the mental side too.
