ellebarto
Having got advice form this forum to get my Cobra NV focussed I now want to follow the 2nd bit of advice and improve the IR light source from the Deben mini I have to something more powerful. My only requirements are that it isn't huge because I shoot out of the Landrover frequently, it isn't a narrow beam because I like to flood an area so I can scan fields quickly and it should have a very good ball joint type adjustment so I can quickly and easily adjust the zero of the beam. My deben mini is a fixed bracket and very often I find the beam is too low and wont adjust sufficiently. Any of you guys tell me what your using and getting good results? The first Ive found is the Clulite Masterlite, which seems more of a big torch so I'm not convinced that will be more powerful than what I have now once IR filtered. steve_b_wales
I use a Blaserlite with the new scope clamp. I have a dedicated IR filter fitted to it. It's not heavy in use, and the beam is good enough for up to 200+ yards, even with the filter attached. You can't adjust the beam, but at around 100 yards, I find it to be okay. Steve.
