ESTIBAN
i have recently zerod my .22lr and when i was off target to the right i clicked left to centre and when i was high i clicked down to go lower etc. I have just bore sighted my .223 with a different scope and when i was off to the right i did the same steps but would only square up when i clicked right does this mean when am high i need to click high to lower? got me a bit confused this has! :o
casts_by_fly
yes, some are threaded opposite. I think german scopes are one way but 'american' scopes are the opposite. I could be wrong on that bit though. Thanks Rick

Blunderbust
yep, when bore sighting a scope Windage and Elevation work the opposite way. That is exactly right, when bore sighting you are moving the sight to suit the centre point view on a fixed barrel position. When live zeroing on a range you are adjusting the sight to bring the barrel into line with the sight picture. So therefor when bore sighting you need to move the sight graticules in the opposite direction to achieve a mutual point of aim and centre of barrel view comparison.
