Big Dog
I was reading a review on the Sweet 16 in the What Gun mag. The review was a little confusing on 1 area. It stated that the shroud/barrel can be shortened as it screws into about 4 bits. The reporter said he shortened it to shoot rats at a farm or something like that. The 2 fital bit of info I would have want to hear were missing. ONE: does this reduce the ft/lb?? and TWO: If it does, is it reduced enough to shoot inside a barn?? If it does that would be great for me Edited April 1, 2006 by Big Dog
Lord Geordie
First I heard of a multi part barrel I had a Mk1 and that was a solid construction Yeah a shorter barrel means less FPE but not quite sure how much it will change?? Big Dog
The review is in page 80 of the What Gun by Peter Wadeson. It is on a Mk11 Bull Barrel.

If it does that would be great for me The end 4 or 5 inches of the shroud on the S-16s can be removed making the rifle slightly shorter and a little noisier. It doesn't make any difference to the power just the noise. Tony
