stubby
I was always told, not to clean, as the build up of carbon in the hushpower, helps deaden the noise the more it fills up

bicykillgaz
with my baikal one i unscrewed it remove the can, stick a bottlebrush in to remove any loose stuff out the can and shake out any loose stuff, clear the port holes on the barrel as if you use plastic wadded carts they do get a lot of build up and give it a bit of a brush with soft wire brush to remove a little of the build up but not all of it and stick it back together. atb gary
