sutty
Hi all, On my last outing i had intended using two flappers, placed halfway down the side of a Horseshoe pattern (one either side) of 15 shells. well i forgot to pick up one of the batteries from the car.(senior moment) As the cable on each Flapper is only about 6ft i decided to run them off one battery at the head of the deeks, So now i have a horseshoe of 15 shells with two flappers at the head, about 8 feet apart, Just inside the top of the pattern, not ideal i thought but what the hell give it a try? Well shortly after, in came the first bird, straight in and hovered just behind the two machines, BANG, 1down. This happened TEN times before things dried up, each bird hovering behind the flappers, looking to land somewere, I am sure not one of them saw me move to take the shot. It reminded me of a thread on here recently which spoke of a simlar tactic with two whirlies and tunnel vision when they land etc.(appologies for not knowing were topic is) if you have the gear its worth a go ,i will be using that set up again v soon. Regard Sutty PS. did my cart=kill ratio a power of good 10+ 2 crows ,15 shots Edited April 6, 2006 by sutty
