Edward
Hi guys My mate gave me his bsa airsporter mk4/5 to have a look at because it seems to loose power after about 6 shots. its weird its like a Co2 gun running out of gas, first shot will be fine and on the sixth shot it doesnt have enough poke to push the pellet up the barrel. when you cock it half way and let it back (like uncocking a break barrel) it doesnt have any real force the lever just slowly slides back up. Any ideas?, without taking it to a shop
team tractor
First thing to check is open the tap and decock it while listening for air escaping around the tap which means the seal is gone or the metal memory has gone in the spring. People service it themselves but its easy to to exceed the power limit on these to as much as 18 ftlb
Edward
It is leaking around the tap, so a new seals then. OnTHIS diagram is it, PW031 and OR009 ?
team tractor
I'm not sure how bigger job it is as my dads old sported just had the spring cranked up to make up for it by the shop which made it aweful to shoot and wonder why they did this
