Kindly, former PW member the Duncan had offered several times to take me out so we met up and went for a drive. (If the mods read - was originally banned for a month now seems to e permanent? Confused??) Had a walk round a rape field first before settling on a cow farm. Duncan talked me through setting up a hide, laying out the pigeon decoys, getting some movement in the pattern, Settled down and realised it was cold! Stayed in the spot for a couple of hours with very little activity then decided to have a move down to another field where a flight line appeared to have developed. Moved, re set up and had a tree line acting a wind breaker so was them comfy! As soon as we sat down a bird came into the decoys and, since I wasn't ready, Duncan popped it off and we had kill 1. And we spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and talking birds and peace and quiet! bruno22rf Posted June 7, 2011 Report Share Posted June 7, 2011 Had some great times out with The Duncan myself-I know of many others that this gent has shared his time and shoots with.In all my years of shooting I dont think I have seen such a fine rifle shot or such a natural countryman with a shotgun.He eats everything that he shoots (within reason)and will go to extremes to ensure that no animal suffers unduly.Amazing to think that,for a chap who I have never heard swear,he should receive a ban for fake swearing and then having the audacity to question the decision.This forum has lost a fine member.
