wymberley
hi guys just wondering if the redfield revolution 3-9x50 is any good and if they are good in low light thanks Used to have one when Redfield was Redfield and was always well pleased. I can't understand/know why they folded. They're now back and in bed with Leupold so that must say something. One of our members who has his hands full just at the moment has just got one for his 17 HMR and is absolutely delighted.
Rem223
I have sold stacks of the new Redfield scopes. It's a Leupold VX1 for less money than a VX1 and with the same Leupold warranty. They are very good value for money. It wont be as good in low light as a top German scope but you are not paying that kind of money. It would be hard to better it though for the money you will pay. The old Redfields up to around the mid 1980's were great scopes, but sadly too many people wanted cheap scopes. So they had to go downmarket to compete and eventually after various take overs they went under. Leupold bought the name and produce the rifle scopes in Oregon. Though the spotting scopes are I believe sourced from the far East.
