Gordon R
I am doing a favour for a friend. An old shooting partner of his died and the friend asked me to dispose of a couple of guns for him. The BRNO is on Gunwatch. The second gun - I was expecting a Midland SBS, turned out to be a Belgian .410 single barrel hammer gun. The stock was cracked - I have just expoxied this. Looking down the barrel - it looks pitted - not brilliant. I just want to dispose of this legally. How do I go about this? Can I hand it in at a Police Station? Would a gunsmith charge to dispose of it? I am reluctant to spend money on something that I would happily give away. Advice required - please. ChrisAsh
Sorted - handing in at Police Station. Suggest you ring them first to tell them, otherwise might find them getting excited
Gordon R
I did ring - they told me just to turn up. I did and it got sorted. No problem really. One gun sorted - two to go (family found the "Midland" - turned out to be a Birmingham Gun Co), plus a gun safe.
