Hi guys.

Just had my lunch early to go watch the home coming march of the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment through Crawley Town centre.

in 2009 a member of the regiment Pvt John Brackpool from crawley was shot dead in Char-e-Anjir, just outside Lashkar Gah, in Helmand province, Afghanistan, two days short of his 28th birthday. So as you can guess it was a little emotional in town today. his family were there to support aswell.

everyone in the regiment has done at least 1 tour of afgan and are prepearing to fly to the falklands soon and then another tour of afgan next year.

I went with my boss and a woman i work with whos son is a serving officer in a differant regiment who has done a tour of afgan and is currently flying home from exercise in kenya, so she really wanted to be there.

there was a great turn out and i have the up most respect for the lads and lasses.

hope you enjoy the video.

john
