Cushies Posted June 27, 2011 Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 I'm on my third Grand Cherokee a 3.0 ltr CRD, having had a 2.5 diesel(1999) and a 4.0 petrol(2004), great off-road and probably as economical as anything else in the same league.I haven't had any problems with reliability apart from the heater packing up on the 2004 which was expensive to fix. CEREALTHRILLER Posted June 28, 2011 Report Share Posted June 28, 2011 I had a 4.0 petrol which was good enough off road for anything I wanted to do. It ate its way through a few brake calipers and the drivers heated seat stopped working but the worst thing about it was the very vague steering bloomin terrible. Brad93 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Share Posted June 28, 2011 Not sure what my dads is like off road yet - it's the V8 Hemi Version; yes it's an absolute beast.
