How many shots too a bulb? or if it takes 2 bulbs at once, how many for the 2?

Thanks

D

Hi,

it will only take one bulb and the number of shots per bulb depends on the power you have adjusted it to. Normally about 28, but with the power adjuster up, you will get 10. Their is a bulk CO2 conversion that can be done on these if you need more shots per change.

What's the power output?

Now that all depends. The manufacturer reckons that it is a full power rifle (~11 ft/lb) as standard, with the power adjuster it definately is more than that, but I have not tested it myself. Link to site with suggested output of standard gun.

What distance is it zeroed at and what distance are you getting clean kills at? Thanks matt

Matt,

its currently not zeroed (took scope off for packing), but I would not go beyond 30 yds as the CO2 pressure will drop with the number of shots. If your after longer shots i.e. 50 yds then get an AA s400 (.177) I did or another pcp  (hence selling this), but it will be about 4 times the price. If you put the adjuster on you will get further, but fewer shots.

Regards

Ste

Check out this site if you're in any doubt as to how 'upgradeable' these CO2 rifles are..... Convert to HPA for less than £100 if you like..... That's what I'm doing with my QB78 which is essentially modelled on the 2260.

PS The advert that's linked, is talking rubbish.

A .177 and a .22 pellet would travel exactly the same distance under the same muzzle energy, ballistic coefficients and mass. Fact. Increase just one of these criteria (the mass of the pellet in .22) and of course it will have more power. But a .177 always has higher MV than a .22 so the statement is worthless unless you are trying to alienate .177 shooters. Have a look at how many top-line PCP guns are in .177 and you'll see it's a very valid calibre (and no, I don't have one!). Sorry, rant over. Must be the sunshine ;)

PPS I shoot squirrels and feral pigeons out to about 35 yards with absolutely no problem (Verminpell, 11.4 ftlbs, QB78). Given that it's unlikely you'll need to shoot off more than a couple of shots at a time, you're not going to notice any appreciable pellet drop even at that range. If you want to learn a bit more about ballistics, get access to a chronograph and download Chairgun Pro (free) to explore the envelope of your gun :)
