  1. I grew up in Furnace End, I've got an idea where you're talking about, if I'm right you have dog walkers all over the shop during the day, a real pain in the ariss when you're ferreting or undertaking any form of pest control! I don't ferret during the summer and unless I was being paid to do crop protection I don't like shooting does in milk either as you know you're leaving young to die in the burrow. Wait till September and get out at night with an airgun and a lamp, better still an airgun and a mate with a lamp, I've found you get better results with one man on the lamp and another on the gun.
  2. How hot does it need to get? Wouldn't a camping stove be hot enough?
  3. It's such a shame that people have to be difficult, moved in to this house just over a year ago, lovely neighbours both sides, we've all had/having bits and pieces done and just a quick word was all that was needed between us to let each other know. Half of our fence (as you look down the garden its to the left) blew over in the winds, next door cleaned up the mess whilst I was at work, I went round to say thanks, and that we would replace it when the weather picked up. They offered to split costs with us at the time and have done so once more since then despite the fact we all agree it is our fence. I am very lucky I know!
  4. I suspect that the fee for your licence will remain the same and they will introduce some kind of processing fee! A bit like the fees for fast tracking your passport renewal I'd guess? It's not that they want to increase it ( as stated it's not exactly bankrupting) it's that we are already paying them to perform this service!
  5. Good to see a stolen shotgun out of unsafe hands! https://www.west-midlands.police.uk/latest-news/news.aspx?id=678 D
  6. Just noticed the article below on BBC news, if it does rise in these regions (I'm covered by Warks) it will spread across the country in no time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-27031957 D

  8. I think most of the councils (who have had to provide the registration service since it changed from the courts 8 years ago) charge a premium for a same day service, it's like most things now, you want it quick it'll cost you!
  9. Or applying for copy birth/death/marriage certs! Some people pay £50 (£10 direct from your local Reg Office)
  10. I've just nipped into Cotswolds and bought a pair of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trekmates%C2%AE-Softshell-Gaiter-Large-XLarge/dp/B005FK3ZNO for £15 (half price by their reckoning) out tomorrow and preparing for the worst, never bothered with gaiters before but I thought at that price, it's hard to go wrong!
  11. I've come back for a look see if it had been updated, I've never heard of it!

    running hot

It's my understanding that PCP's and CO2 guns run higher ft/lb with heavier pellets and springers with lighter pellets. So: with your gun, the lighter the pellet the higher the ft/lbs should be in theory. What I will say, and no offense intended as I've done it myself; did you input the pellet weight correctly into the chrono? Hope this helps, D
  18. I'd take your phone number off and use the PM system if you don't want a load of nuisance calls! What size cabinet is it? Thanks, D
  19. I find this bizarre as well, if you've gone to the trouble of bagging up why on earth would you then fling it into a bush or leave it dangling from a branch?
