scolopax Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 And if its HLS then you are'nt allowed to put hoppers in it. It is a wild bird mix, not a wild game mix. Game will use it but if you are releasing serious numbers, and depending on the mix, the pheasants will destroy it quicky. If it contains any Kale or similiar brassica then its often better in its second year. It can often be very good for grey partridge as it can be quite a thin crop, which is one of the target species for recovery under the schemes.
