Hornet 6 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 The chances of getting a licence to cull Herons is just about nil. They don't do any damage to a well planned and run fishery, if on the other hand you have very shallow margins you could have problems, the cure is a digger, and it works, or should I say it has worked for me on the 6 lakes I run. Cormorants you may get a ticket for, but be warned you will have to prove you have tried all other methods to keep them off. If you are a commercial fishery you will need to show the annual cost of restocking before a limited licence is issued, and it will be limited, possibly only 1 or 2 birds per year, and it will be restricted to certain times of the year.
