  1. My Fac runs out in march 2016, I have just renewed my SGC an they have only given me it up until the same date as my FAC expires, so in effect I have to go coterminus
  2. I Knew about some of this but having just looked at the link above would appear my l200 and most other pick ups should have to abide by van speed limits rather than the car ones!
  3. Just had my SGC renewal back from Cumbria Police, they have only given me two years on my SGC as they have insisted it renews at the same time as my FAC

    22.250 brass

Ive got a fair few once fired 22-250 cases lying in the jeep mostly remmington and federal powershock if they are any good to you
  5. same here both the lab and the cocker just drag everything out of the kennel onto the run floor, just leave them a few old sheets or curtains in the kennell which is raised off the floor and they seem happy enough
  6. Does anyone know what they are like in comparison to the more expensive but tried and tested lightforce versions main use same as Frenchie foxing out to 150-200 yards?
  7. I ring the 0845 for Cumbria Police but only when I am planning on going near two permissions that are bothered by poachers regularly and often a series of thefts in the area, its something I agreed with the farmer when I got the permission. To be honest its no hassle to ring, they already have all my details from my phone number and all I do is tell them vaguely what areas I will be in for the night not specifics farms etc, time i'm setting off and time i'm expecting to be finished and thats it. Apart from these two farms I never bother.
  8. I'll take some tonigh and pop them on they live permanantly in the back of the jeep as i said i never set off without them in case a standing shot is needed
  9. I've often seen these on evil bay many times and wondered if they would be any good
  10. +1 for diy quad sticks, four green garden poles for a garden centre and a bit of elastic, will eventually swap to wooden version which is lighter and quiter once i fully get the hang of them and am less likely to snap a leg trying to twist them round. I have seen them used by the lad I shoot with at silly ranges on foxes 300yards and more with a .223 I dont think there is anything else that would give you a steady shot for those ranges
  11. To be honest if you laid out all my LEGAL guns fac/sgc and air guns on a bed with all the ammunition it would look far worse than this!
  12. Bit thoughtless if you ask me there are enough anti's out there without provoking them, I must admit I sometimes end up driving around with an odd fox or two on the bonnet otherwise the jeep is stinking but thats late at night in the dark in the middle of nowhere
  13. Thanks for that, the sound reduction it gives on the .243 is adequate for my needs and if it will work on the 22-250 although not at its best it will be enough to try and and find out whether I can get an acceptable group from the rifle, just been doing some more research and it appears a calibre adaptor from wildcat is £60 which I will look at if the rifle groups ok
  14. By legalities is assume you mean I have a moderator on my ticket for both rifles which I have and both are listed as make and serial number unknown. The wildcat is currently on my Tika .243 which was my Father in laws gun before he bought a Sako 85 and shoots perfectly well with it, it is stamped on the outside .308 which he tells me he has done with all his rifles gone a calibre larger for some reason. Will it be less effective on a 22-250 due to being designed for a larger calibre? All i'm really wanting to do is find out if the gun will group fine with another mod on, if it does then i will probably buy one specifically for .22cf if not its going to be gunsmith time to find out why its not grouping.
  15. Hi all just out of curiosity I have a 22-250 with an unknown brand of moderator and thread size which appears to knackered either that or there is something wrong with the threading as the gun will shoot a decent group without it but even at 50 yards the group looks like a shotgun gun patter with it on. I have a wildcat on my tika T3 proofed for up to .308 is there any reason i cannot try this mod on my 22-250, the thread would appear to be the same as it screws onto the barrell no problem, I dont want to go and spend a fortune on a new mod for 22-250 to find that wasnt the problem after all.
