Imperfection Posted July 9, 2011 Report Share Posted July 9, 2011 My guess is its that toxic 'blue/green algae' which often rears its ugly head every few years when we've had prolonged sunny and hot periods. I know Grafham water resevoir here in Cambridgeshire suffers badly with it most years to the extent that the rocks look like they've been painted bright blue.Dogs are barred from swimming there too due to its toxity.
